SUKKOT CAMPING TRIP

Sukkot is here again, and we will be going on our annual, congregational camping trip. We will be at the campgrounds at Let N Go Ranch, Lakeside, AZ from Friday September 29th thruFriday October 6th and we are excited to share the camping experience for those who have signed up.

FROM PAYSON:  TAKE HIGHWAY 260 EAST THROUGH SHOW LOW TO LAKESIDE. TURN RIGHT ONTO RAINBOW LAKE DRIVE. TURN RIGHT ONTO MC NEILL STREET. TURN RIGHT ONTO MEADOW VIEW DRIVE, ONCE ON MEADOW VIEW DRIVE GO TO GATE AT END OF ROAD.  GATE CODE IS 7283#.

ALTERNATE ROUTE: TAKE US 60 EAST THROUGH GLOBE TO US 60 NORTH TO SHOW LOW AND THEN TO LAKESIDE, TURN RIGHT ON RAINBOW LAKE DRIVE. TURN RIGHT ON MCNEILL STREET. TURN RIGHT ONTO MEADOW VIEW DRIVE, ONCE ON MEADOW VIEW DRIVE GO TO GATE AT END OF MEADOW VIEW DRIVE. GATE CODE 7283#. 

WHAT TO EXPECT:

We will have special services throughout the week as follows:
Eat our Dinner meal together Friday September 29th. Breakfast and lunch on your own. If you have special dietary restrictions such as gluten free or diabetic please provide alternatives for yourself. There will be morning gatherings and nightly gatherings around the campfire.

There is a large outdoor Kitchen with a grill to cook on.  Please provide all your own pots & pans and utensils.

Throughout the week there will be activities for children, youth and some spontaneous activities for everyone.

THERE ARE SHOWERS  LOCATED IN THE CABINS AND THE HOBBIT HOUSE

Porta potties and 6 toilets

4 RV sites - 2 with hook-ups

Tent sites throughout        

GROUP RECREATION AREA  

The Station - a Covered Prep Area with counters and large area to gather to serve our Family Meals

BRING A TABLE AND CHAIRS FOR YOUR FAMILY TO USE FOR EATING

BRING A PROPANE CAMP STOVE OR GRILL TO COOK WITH.

Bring your own balls, horseshoes and etc

A Small Fishing Pond for Children  More fishing nearby.  Various hiking trails in the area.

WHAT TO BRING
  • Sleeping Provisions - Tent - WINTER sleeping bag, extra blankets/air mattress or pad. Plan on it being in the 30's at night.
  • RVs most will need to be self contained and dry camp or solar power.
  • Food and meal supplies - you will need to provide all food and plates/cutlery, napkins, cups etc. Cooking pots and utensils, garbage bags. Table and Chairs for your family.
  • All Meals except the NIGHTLY DINNER MEAL are on your own. Please bring enough to feed your whole family. Stick with Kosher guidelines. If you have special dietary needs please provide alternatives for yourself at Dinner.
  • Clothing - winter attire is needed.  Temperatures will be in the 60's during the daytime and in the 30's at night.  Elevation is 7,000 ft. Bring rain gear, Hats, Gloves, Warm Socks, Boots - this is not flip flop weather!
  • Personal Hygiene & medications -  Hand sanitizer, baby wipes, antibacterial soap.  Come prepared!  
  • Injuries A first aid kit will be available.  Please report any serious injuries to leaders/first responders right away.  The nearest Medical facility is either LAKESIDE OR SHOW LOW. There is a fire station within 5 miles.
  • Bibles/notebook - limited power sources and wifi.  Expect to be without electronics.
  • Camera & Shofars are also suggested.
  • Lights -  campsite has few lights and you will need flashlights and/or lanterns to navigate in the dark
  • Pets - are allowed but must be on a leash at all times.  Be sure to bring their food & water.
  • Child Safety - Talk to your children in advance about safety and camping do's and don'ts.  Do not allow children to wander away alone.  There is a street near the camp.  
  • Clean Your Camp Daily - Dispose of all trash before retiring. Check your camp before departing.  Leave it BETTER than you found it!
